MAC 2000S, 3000S, 4000S and 5000S
Have
hydrostatic drive with all the
traction, reliability and simplicity associated with
Poclain Dyna-plus wheel motors.
These are intelligent motors which are constantly monitored by computer, if the
machine gets into a situation where it looses traction, a hillside or one wheel
starts to get bogged down the computer pushes more traction to the
other wheels. The S versions are also fitted with foot brakes for added safety.
Better
than this, with right size floatation wheels these machines have very low
ground pressure even fully loaded. 4 wheel steer and spray on/off are selected by
floor switch for speed and ease when turning. Cab visibility is good, Air
conditioning, carbon filters, C D player, pneumatic seat are all standard. The
centre mounted cab gives much better weight distribution then front mounted
cabs. The engine counter balances the boom and so the weight split over
the wheel motors is always an even split what ever the quantity of liquid in the
tank. A choice of under axle clearance 900, 1000 and 1200mm is available.
On the move track adjustment or a slightly cheaper manual adjustment is also
available. Giving track widths from 1.8m to 2.5m on the
S and from 2.5m to 4.0m on
the MAC 4000 XXL
and 5000 XXL & 6000
XXL
All the MAC Ranges
have finger tip joystick controls. All
SL boom functions which consist
of independent boom arm geometry, Independent boom section folding and parallel
lift arm height adjustment are also mounted on the joystick. The SL boom
normally fitted to the MAC range was designed for working in Australia where the
average spraying speed is around 20k, this is why each boom arm is independently
sprung, as well as the whole boom being sprung on the parallelogram lift.

rams are in the “closed” position when the boom is open, effectively doubling
the strength.
The SL Boom is available up
to a width of 32m. The 36 and 40/42 m boom is a C7SL
Another boom option is the
SFC contractor boom. Which has the standard main ram operation ie. When the
boom ram is in the closed position the boom is also closed. The SFC can be
folded from the cab, to 12, (18 or 20 or 21 these sizes must be pre set) and 24m
